Scorers' Responsibilities

Scoring is a very important function as it maintains a record of each game. Each team has to provide a scorer for every game.

• The scorer will attend any scoring classes run by the Club.
• The scorer, prior to the start of the game, will be given the batting line up from the coach and transcribe it into the scorebook.
• The scorer will inform the opposition scorer of the batting line up?
• The scorer will get the batting line up from the opposition scorer.
• The scorer will keep an accurate record of the game in the scorebook provided.
• It is the scorers responsibility to ensure that the plate umpire signs the result sheet and that the sheet is forwarded to the Club Recorder, for all home games.
