Pirates Softball blitz the 2011/2012 premierships

The Quakers Hill Pirates Softball have had an amazing season!! With 4 junior teams and 3 senior teams that club presented a formidable force for the 2012 season.

Many of the Pirates teams were the form teams over the regular season and of the 7 teams, 6 made it into the semis - and of the 6 teams, 5 made it into the Grand Final.

So without much further ado here are the results:

U11 T-ball - won 20-3 (premiership)

U13 girls division 1 - won 13-6 (premiership)

U13 girls division 2 - initially won their way to the grand final but after a protest, the semi was replayed. The girls were very unlucky to go down 8-9 in the replay and missed a grand final slot by one run

Schoolgirls Division 2 - won their way to the grand final after a heart-stopper in the semis winning 8-7. Their grand final is due to be played this Saturday (31st). Update: in a hard fought game and playing with 3 injured players we lost to St Michaels 6-14. St Michaels had a team which consisted of 6 representative players plus players from A Res. Given this our girls did extrememly well and had fun doing it (Runner up)

B Grade Ladies - won 9-2 (premiership)

Mixed Division 3 - after an epic game  that went over 7 innings (including 3 tie breaker innings) the Pirates finally prevailed 14-13 (premiership)
