Pirates 1st and 2nd grade teams reach the Grand Final

Posted: 21/8/2011

In a fantastic result for the Quakers Hill Pirates, both our 1st and 2nd grade Winter Major League teams won their respective elimination finals to qualify for the 2011 Sydney Winter Major League grand final.

In a tight-knit game the second graders prevalied over Hawkesbury to defeat them 6-4 and now meet Petersham in the Grand Final.

It was also a close game for our first graders who went up against a determined Petersham side but came out on top 8-5. The first grade team now go up against arch-rivals Marrickville in the Grand Final. The last two premierships have been won by Pirates and Marrickville respectively, so next Sunday's 1st grade decider is bound to be an absolute cracker!!

The Pirates will be hiring two supporters buses for next weekend leaving Corbin at 8am and returning before 6pm. Seats are FREE to all supporters in club official clothing (face paint and flags are also highly encouraged). To reserve your seat, visit the Pirates Facebook page and click Like on the call for supporters post or email Quakers Hill Pirates This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
