"Howe" to get a Baseball Education....in college ball

2010 Pirates recruit Alex Howe is currently in Texas attending Clarendon College (NJCAA). Whilst in America Alex will play for the Clarendon Bulldogs in the NJCAA Region 5, WJCAC conference  before returning to the Pirates in the winter for the 2011 SWBL season.

College is a great pathway for players to take, on their baseball journey. With only a select few players ever making the Major League's, or being signed out of high school, college provides an excellent opportunity to further ones education whilst still playing to numerous baseball scouts in the hope of being drafted.

Current Pirates & Sydney Blue Sox slugger, Alexander Johnson won a NJCAA World Series in his time with Grayson College (NTJCAC).

We wish "Howie" all the best in the up coming season & look forward to seeing him on board for the Pirates charge for the 2011 SWBL Championship.
