Quakers Hill Pirates take on Winston Hills Warriors in Tee-Ball Final

Blue Sox T BallThe Quakers Hill Pirates t-ballers will compete in the under 9 Bluesox Cup final on Saturday against Winston Hills Warriors this Saturday at Blacktown International Sports Park. The game will be the curtain-raiser to the Australian Baseball League Sydney Bluesox-Brisbane Bandits game, giving the juniors a bigger than usual audience.

Quakers Hill and Winston Hills are the last two teams from an original 25 standing from the Bluesox Cup tournament which was held during October.

"Our boys performed extremely well during the tournament and showed some amazing determination to win their last two pool games to qualify for the final by one run," said the Pirates vice-president - t-ball and the team's coach Matt Waller.

"They have a wonderful competitive spirit which they showed in the pool games - it will be a great experience for all the kids to be cheered on by the crowd ."

The Pirates and Warriors are keen rivals in the Hills Association junior t-ball and baseball competition run during the summer, so the game is expected to be a close-knit affair.

The Quakers Hill Pirates Baseball and Softball Club are based at Corbin Reserve, Pye Rd, Quakers Hill.
