Hills “Coach the Coaches” Training
HillsHills will be conducting a “Coach the Coaches” day at Corbin on Sunday 26th August 2012 at Corbin. The purpose of this day is to provide you with the knowledge you need to be able to better discharge our responsibilities as junior t-ball and baseball coaches.

The day will be run by Hill’s Level 4 accredited coach who is able to accredit other coaches (together with other experienced accredited coaches). At this stage it is planned to conduct practical accreditation assessment on another day (probably before or after you training night – to be organised to suit individuals) but it is strongly recommended that you attend this day prior to attempting practical accreditation. (It is being run by the person who will most likely assess you).

In order to become accredited Coaches you will also need to complete some “self directed learning” tasks in your own time which involves:-
  1. Completion of the Australian Sports Commission General Coaching Course & Online Questions Learning Ausport
  2. the Theory Exam for whatever level of accreditation you seek (eg Level 1 – entry level/t-ball, Level 2, junior live ball/fundamentals) available from baseball NSW site Basell NSW Link
It is only after these theoretical tasks are completed that an Assessor becomes involved. The Coach the Coaches day will definitely assist you to prepare for practical assessment. It is desirable (but not essential) that you have completed the theoretical tasks by then but you definitely will need to have completed the theory tasks before you can undertake practical assessment.

A free BBQ lunch will be provided for all coaches attending the Coach the Coaches day (you should set aside most of the day starting from 9 am). Pls give your RSVP to Club Secretary Stu Flanders Morrall  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  no later than COB Monday 20 August 2012.

Note:- If you have a Level 2 accreditation that is current - please let me know (Fitzy). If you do it is your choice whether you wish to attend this day.
